These are general pictures I thought were cool. Click the picture for a bigger view.
I took this at a Bulls game in December against the Knicks.
This is Elton Brand shooting a free throw. I don't like the Bulls, don't
care about the NBA either, but Brand seems to be pretty damn good.
The Chicago skyline. I know Chicago has its faults, but
for my money its still the best "big city" in the United States.
This was taken at the same Bulls game as the above shot - it
shows Ron Mercer doing what Ron Mercer does best: shooting. I swear, the
guy never saw a shot he didn't like.
This is the lake behind my Aunt Hope's condo. Very nice
looking, but they don't let boats on it and there's a lot of pollution in it.
This is a shot of Sue, the most complete T-Rex skeleton ever discovered.
It is over 90% complete, and the largest ever found. The Field Mueum in
Chicago paid $1.5 million at auction for the skeleton, and has made it the
centerpiece of their collection. Very impressive.
A shot of a Darth Vader outfit on display in a traveling Star Wars exhibit I
went to. Darth Vader is #2 on my list of all time bad guys behind Kahn
Noonien Singh from Star Trek II. The only reason Vader is #2 is that they
turned him into a good guy at the end of Return of the Jedi. Otherwise,
he's the runaway #1.
A shot of one the lighthouses off the Chicago lakeshore in Lake Michigan.
These things fascinate me - they're out there in the middle of the lake on this
10x10 patch of land. Do people live there, or do they just stop there for
inspections? It would be really cool to live there, for a little
while. I bet it would get old after a while.
C3PO, from the same exhibit as the Darth Vader picture above.
